A new company goes live with the console’s setup wizard. The wizard has eight main steps and one optional extra step. Each step is re-checked every time the page opens: if the store connection breaks later, for example, that step shows as pending again. The assistant cannot be published until all previous steps are verified.
Checklist
Section titled “Checklist”- Store data: for WooCommerce, a read-only REST key (
ck_…/cs_…); for Shopify, the Client ID and Client secret; for other platforms, a product XML URL or your developer using the Data API. See your platform’s page → - Phone line: your SIP provider’s server address, SIP username/password and the number (DID) to route to the assistant. Your provider’s page →
- Support rules: your return shipping agreement code (read to customers on return requests).
- Voice: the assistant’s name and an ElevenLabs voice ID.
-
Store data. First pick your e-commerce platform (Shopify, WooCommerce, ikas, T-Soft, Ticimax, IdeaSoft, Shopier, OpenCart or “Other / custom software”). The wizard marks the recommended option for your platform, prepares the field mapping and shows step by step where to look in your admin panel. Options: store connection (WooCommerce), API connection (Shopify), XML-CSV link, push via API, manual upload, or skip for now. The step is not complete until the connection is saved and tested. Keys are stored encrypted and never shown again.
-
Catalog sync. Products, categories and info pages are added to the assistant’s knowledge sources. The catalog needs at least one active product. With the API connection, orders and customer records are synced too.
-
Site scan (optional). Your site’s info pages (shipping, returns, FAQ) are crawled and taught to the assistant. Skip it if the store sync already brings these pages.
-
Status mapping. Your store’s order statuses are imported and mapped to seven groups: pending, approved, invoiced, in transit, completed, cancelled, marketplace. Standard WooCommerce statuses map automatically. The step stays incomplete while any status is unmapped; the assistant explains statuses to customers according to this mapping.
-
Support rules. Pick the rules template (e.g. “WooCommerce standard”) and enter the return code. The status mapping is kept. These rules decide in which groups an address change, cancellation, urgent shipping or return is allowed. Requests →
-
Phone line. Pick your SIP provider; the preset fills in the server, transport and number format. Enter the username, password and caller number, test the connection, then enter the inbound number routed to the assistant. The test call (the published assistant calls the number you enter) is available after the assistant is published.
-
Voice and assistant name. Enter the assistant’s name, the ElevenLabs voice ID and the brand name. The brand name is used in the greeting; if empty, the company name is used.
-
Publish the assistant. The assistant is created from the general e-commerce template and published. Each new publish opens a new version. You can now make the test call from step 6.
-
PBX and transfers (optional extra step). Define the number or PBX target to transfer to when a customer asks for an agent. This step does not wait for publishing and can be skipped. Transfers →
After publishing
Section titled “After publishing”- Talk to the assistant from the browser and from a phone with Test Call in the console. Your first test call →
- Fix how brand and product names are pronounced in the Pronunciation tab. Pronunciation dictionary →
- If you will use them, review your outbound call purposes and calling hours. Outbound →
- Add a webhook to receive events in your own system. Webhooks →
